But what is he not looking for? "Somebody that doesn't eat. I like food a lot. So I know I don’t want to [hear]: ‘I don’t like sushi, I don’t like this, I don’t like that.’" the 32-year-old single dad told his hometown newspaper, the Miami Herald. "I like to eat a lot. So if you don’t like to eat, you’re kind of screwed because I like food."
And although Juan Pablo, who was rejected by Desiree Hartsock on her season of The Bachelorette, currently lives in Miami, he's open to moving if he find a woman who wants to live somewhere else.

"I don’t like Miami that much. I don’t like the weather. My base is Miami, but I travel a lot. I definitely I want somebody very independent, career wise."
Any prospective Bachelorette will have to be okay with the fact that there's another woman in Juan Pablo's life, and she always comes first - his four-year-old daughter Camila. "Obviously my daughter’s my priority, so if you want to have plans with me and then my daughter calls, then I’m going to have to go with her."
The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 6 on ABC.

‘The Bachelor: Countdown To Juan Pablo’ Review
In case you needed another reason to fall in love with Juan Pablo, 32, this special did it. It all started off with a look at the ladies who auditioned for the show — and there is quite an array of them.
However, after seeing the adorable women get their roses (yes, Chris Harrison and the producers traveled the country to ask each woman to accept the rose and be on the show), we got a look into Juan Pablo’s life as a father in Miami.
We saw Juan Pablo, the first Latino bachelor go from everywhere from the beach to the gym — to a drive by the hospital his daughter Camila was born at. Friday is “daddy time,” so we got to see him with his daughter, 4, and her friends at the park!
“She’s my Valentine forever,” he said to the camera about his daughter. It sounds like the ladies will not only be competing for his heart, but also for his daughter’s and his family. During a heart to heart with his father, Juan Pablo got super emotional thinking about having to leave his family, his daughter in particular. It was sweet to see the relationship he had with his father!
Gia Allemand Remembered On ‘Bachelor’ Special
The cast and crew of The Bachelor remembered the late Gia Allemand, who starred on season 14 of The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad and committed suicide on August 12.
Chris explained that she had stayed in touch with the crew of the show after she was no longer on it. During the special, they showed clips of her talking about love and friendship, as well as others talking about how much they loved her like Ashleigh, Jaclyn, Chris, Jackie, Ames, and Jenna. Her mother Donna also added in how much she missed her daughter.
They remembered her laugh, her love for love and for others, and how big her heart was. Some even said they had aspired to be more like her.
We love that the special took time to remember her with clips, comments and even photos of her life.
To wrap up the special, Chris Harrison and the gang gave us a sneak peek of the season — and it looks like it’s filled with more drama (and making out) than ever before! We see Juan Pablo get some advice with the last bachelor Sean Lowe, followed by a season full of tears, romance, heartbreak, making out, fighting, and did we say kissing? Oh … and a woman saying she wants Juan Pablo to die and him getting angry and storming out of an interview.
Needless to say, it’s going to be a good one. Can’t wait for season 18 to start? Jump on the Juan Pablo train!
